inspired by https://www.reddit.com/r/TerrainBuilding/comments/1rf7sxi/tested_bazillion_of_different_water_effects_and/#lightbox The recipe: Pacific blue AK water effect. I wasn't sure to use it, it looked too flat and cheap, but got some nice ripples, so left it for for water texture as I decided to paint it anyway. Black paint/spray onto it. White spray for zenital highlights (citadel standard Corax white) Now, using contrast paints, mixing them from deep blue at center, to light blue on the rims. I used citadel aethermatic blue, leviadon blue (main colours) and thalassar blue or akhelian green and terradon turqise for mixing in between. I don't remember witch ones exactly, I just keep adding and mixing it untill it was satisfying "lake/pond" colour. The effect catches up really quickly, adding more and more to get really dark in the middle, but keeping the rims lighter blue. Poured some UV resin on top, just a thin layer, then lighted UV lamp into it, so it is sturdy and glassy. Finished effect was better than expected, but absolutely no idea how to replicate the exact colours for future, as I was improvising 😁🫣 Tldr: the core things are: water effect (AK Pacific blue water gel) for ripples, zenital highlighting it and contrast paints for painting blue waters. And for the glossy look an UV resin
